
Red lentil dip

Here’s a twist on traditional hummus — same creamy texture, but made with red lentils instead of chickpeas. Just as quick to prepare as the original, this colorful spread brings a fresh take to your appetizer routine and might just make you fall in love with red lentils.
Our secret? A few sun-dried tomatoes, a hint of Espelette pepper, and a generous spoonful of our Yusto nutritional yeast to bring everything together!

12 | sun-dried tomatoes |
80g | tahini |
15g | Yusto |
1 | garlic clove |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1/2 | lemon juice |
3 pinches | Espelette chili pepper |
1 | grind of pepper |
1 small handful | of flat-leaf parsley |
1 handful | of pomegranate seeds |
Matériel
- Stovetop
- Blender / Food processor
- Rinse the red lentils under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the lentils in boiling water for 6–7 minutes.
- Drain the lentils and transfer them to a blender or food processor.
- Add the sun-dried tomatoes, tahini, Yusto, garlic clove, olive oil (you can use the oil from the sun-dried tomatoes if they’re packed in oil), lemon juice, and Espelette pepper (or any chili you have on hand).
- Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate for a few hours to let the hummus cool and firm up.
- For serving, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, sprinkle with chopped flat-leaf parsley and/or coriander, and add a few pomegranate seeds.
